Guidelines on the Entry of Temporary Visitors and Foreigner under other Visa categories

Note: Clients are reminded to bring their complete sets of documents, including originals and photocopies, for their own convenience. 

TEMPORARY VISITORS VISA (Please click here for the form)

Temporary Visitors - those coming for businesspleasuremedical treatmenttraining, attendance in conferences, meetings or workshop/ seminars; visitors aboard private yacht/sailboat; persons visiting for the purpose of making a movie or film documentary;journalistsathletes and performing artists.

1) VISA REQUIREMENTS FOR MALAYSIAN, ASEAN AND OTHER NATIONALS 

MALAYSIAN AND ASEAN countries (Brunei, Cambodia, Indonesia, Laos, Myanmar, Singapore, Thailand, Vietnam)

1-30 day visit

Nationals from Malaysian and other ASEAN countries who are travelling to the Philippines for tourism and/or business purposes are allowed to enter the Philippines without visas for a stay not exceeding thirty (30) days provided that:

(1) they have tickets for their return journey to the point of origin or next destination country, and

(2) their passports must have remaining validity of at least six (6) months beyond their intended period of stay in the Philippines.

 

Visit for 30 to 59 days

MALAYSIAN, ASEAN AND OTHER NATIONALS

If the intended stay in the Philippines is more than thirty (30) days, they should apply at a Philippine Embassy for a single-entry visa valid for a 59-day stay. The requirements are as follows:

VISA REQUIREMENTS

1) Duly accomplished and signed Visa Application Forms;
2) Original and photocopy of the passport data page and Malaysian visa valid for at least six (6) months;
3) Malaysian Company letter (for holders of Employment Pass);
4) Malaysian School Certification (for holders of Student Pass);
5) Letter of Invitation from the Philippine Company (for business purposes);
6) Letter of Invitation from the inviting person in the Philippines supported by a copy of the passport or ID with signature of the inviting person, if applicable (for tourism purposes);
7) Bank Statements;
8) Copy of the two-way/roundtrip air ticket or flight itinerary;
9) Copy of the Hotel Booking;
10) One (1) recent colored photograph sized (1.77” x 1.37”); and
11) Other documentary requirements as may be requested by the Visa Officer upon interview of the applicant and assessment of the application.

Visa Fee                 :           RM 144.00

Submission Time  :           9:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. only

Processing Period :          Three (3) working days 

Note   :   Application for visa must be made in person. Visa applicants are requested to come in appropriate attire.

OTHER NATIONALS

 

Nationals from countries listed below who are traveling to the Philippines for business and tourism purposes are allowed to enter the Philippines without visas for a stay not exceeding thirty (30) days, provided they hold valid tickets for their return journey to port of origin or next port of destination and their passports valid for a period of at least six (6) months beyond the contemplated period of stay.

Nationals from the following countries are allowed to enter the Philippines without a visa for a period of stay of thirty (30) days or less:

*Brazilian and Israeli nationals are given fifty-nine (59) days stay based on existing agreements. 

The following are allowed to enter the Philippines without a visa for a stay not exceeding fourteen (14) days: 

1. Holders of Hong Kong Special Administrative (SAR) passports.

2. Holders of Macau Special Administrative Region (SAR) passports.

The following are allowed to enter the Philippines without a visa for a stay not exceeding seven (7) days:

1. Holders of Macau-Portuguese passports

2. Holders of Hong Kong British passports.

 

Important Note:

Nationals who are subjects of deportation/blacklist orders of the Department and the Bureau of Immigration shall not be admitted to the Philippines. Further inquiries may be addressed to the Visa Division (Telephone numbers:556-0000 and ask the operator to connect you to Visa Division), Department of Foreign Affairs, 2330 Roxas Boulevard, Pasay City or to any Philippine Embassy or Consulate abroad.

TRANSIT VISA

Requirements:

Applicant's national passport valid for at least six (6) months or more from date of departure from the Philippines or completion of trip

Proof of sufficient funds for travel expenses, accommodation, and subsistence, if required by interviewing officer

4.Copy of evidence of residency in Malaysia (e.g., Employment Pass, Work Permit, PR card, Student Pass, Dependant Pass, or Long Term Pass)

SEAMAN/SEAFARER VISA

Requirements:

1.Personal appearance

2.Duly filled up Visa Application Form, (Please click here for the form)

3.One (1) recent photograph, with white or light-colored background

4.Applicant's national passport valid for at least six (6) months or more from date of departure from the Philippines or completion of trip

5.If the applicant is a seaman joining ship, the company concerned should provide a letter indicating the name of the vessel he will be joining in the Philippines

6.Visa fee (to be paid in cash).

 

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS FOR CREW LIST VISA for VESSELS

1.Duly filled up Crew List Visa Form, (Please click here for the form)

2.Photocopy of Vessel Master’s Passport

3.Visa Fee (to be paid in cash), depending on the number of crew members

4. Letter from Shipping company in Malaysia

5. Letter from Shipping company in the Philippines

6. Captain/Master will fill-up the visa application form.

VISAS FOR FOREIGN GOVERNMENT OFFICIAL AND FAMILY MEMBERS AND DEPENDENTS

FOREIGN GOVERNMENT OFFICIAL VISA:

1.Note Verbale / Third Person Note from the foreign Diplomatic or Consular Mission duly recognized by the Philippine Government

2.Duly filled up Visa Application Form

3.Diplomatic Passport

4.One (1) recent photograph, with white or light-colored background.

 

DEPENDENT OF FOREIGN GOVERNMENT OFFICIAL VISA:

1.Note Verbale / Third Person Note from the foreign Diplomatic or Consular Mission duly recognized by the Philippine Government, stating purpose of trip

2.Duly filled up Visa Application Form

3.Diplomatic Passport

4.One (1) recent photograph, with white or light-colored background.


OTHER NON-IMMIGRANT VISAS

  • Treaty Traders/Investors
  • Accredited Officials of Foreign Governments, their families and attendants/helpers
  • Alien Students
  • Aliens with Pre-Arranged Employment in the Philippines
  • Special non-immigrants granted admission by the Philippine President
  • Refugees granted temporary admission by the Philippine President.

IMMIGRANTS VISAS

      QUOTA IMMIGRANTS

  • Preferred Quota Immigrants - Parents of Filipino citizens aged 21 years or over, and spouses & unmarried minor children of Permanent Resident aliens
  • Non-Preferred Quota Immigrants.

      NON-QUOTA IMMIGRANTS

  • Spouse or unmarried minor children of Philippine citizens
  • Child of alien parents born during a visit abroad of Permanent Resident mother
  • Child born subsequent to the issuance of Immigrant Visa to accompanying parent, whose visa has not expired
  • Filipino women who lost their citizenship by marriage
  • Returning residents
  • Spouse or unmarried minor child of foreigner admitted to the Philippines for permanent residence
  • Returning natural-born Filipinos who were naturalized as citizens of foreign countries.
